Web Design From The Copacabana: These 16 Websites Show The Creative Side Of Brazil
2014.07.04 by Sebastian Maier
There is hardly an event that triggers so many positive as well as negative reactions as the FIFA World Cup, which takes place every four years. It makes no difference whether you let yourself be carried along by the enthusiasm or hope it would once again be over; almost everyone has an opinion about it.
However, we shall (almost) not be talking about football here, but instead about the country that is hosting the World Cup this year. This article shows a selection of 16 websites by designers and agencies from Brazil (among which are Portuguese as well as English websites), which reveal cultural differences, as well as similarities of global web design trends.
And at the very end, there is a website that has something to do with football.

Since, while searching for web design from Brazil, I also came across an example with a connection to the World Cup, I would like to attach it to this list - even though it was not made by Brazilian designers.
This one page site shows all the games of the World Cup with the teams and kickoff times. You can adjust the appearance to fit the colors of each participating country through the navigation bar. You can also adjust the timezone. A fine plaything made with CSS, no matter how you feel about the euphoria of the World Cup.
How do you guys like the examples from Brazil?
